What is homgenrismo?

Homgenrismo is a new gender reform to neutrally change the way we speak Esepranto. The goal is: To neutralize our language simply and efectively, to not change too much, and to use existing words when possible.

Why?

Many Esperanto roots are not gender neutral. Words like "patrino" literally mean "feminine father". Many do not like this, and homgenrismo wishes to correct it.

Pronouns

Homgenrismo doesn't wish to add new pronouns, however it does indeed accept the pronun "ri" as a gender neutral pronoun. "Ĝi" should also be acceptable as a pronoun for people, but nobody should be forced to use it.

Genro and Sekso

The difference between "genro" and "sekso" clarably should be that "genro" is the feeling and expression of a person (aside from grammatical gender), and "sekso" is the biological classification. Generally "transseksulo" should be "transgenrulo", "cisseksulo" should be "cisgenrulo", etc.

-in-, -ip-, and -iĉ-

Homgenrismo accepts -in-, -ip-, and -iĉ- as suffixes in Esperanto. -iĉ- is for masculine people. -ip- is for non-binary people.Although homgenrismo accepts -iĉ-, it doesn't want to use words like "patriĉo" because the root is still not entirely neutral.

-nj-, -pj-, -ĉj-, and -j-

Both -nj- and -ĉj- already exist in Esperanto (for example Zamĉjo and Linjo). -pj- is like -ip- and is for non-binary people. -j- is gender neutral.
